Ovidium, a summer residence designed by the architectural firm The Hive Architects, is situated on a peninsula and stands out as a contemporary landmark building. It is an architectural composition where the relationship between the covered space and the rhythmic columns conveys simplicity and design coherence through a balanced geometry.

Its spatial arrangement emphasizes scale and evokes a sense of tranquility and monumentality.
The materials — white plaster, metal columns, rammed earth, and travertine — are a conscious choice, where each texture and shade coexist harmoniously. The rammed earth, with its distinctive spatial imprint, achieves optimal integration into the landscape while maintaining a natural continuity with the environment.
Travertine, a natural and durable material with historical references to classical architecture, imparts a sense of solidity and timelessness. The contrast between smooth and rough surfaces highlights the plasticity and enhances the spatial experiences offered.

The Hive Architects design the surrounding landscape with respect to the geometry and morphological particularities of the plot. Low Mediterranean shrubs and discreet plantings frame the composition, highlighting the spatial organization without overshadowing the architectural presence.
Ovidium enriches the living experience through the composition of clean lines, consistently arranged on a grid, while the materiality contributes to tactile and visual simplicity. The result strives to combine simplicity with intensity, serving a sustainable consciousness and, above all, fostering a timeless relationship between humans, space, nature, and light.
